Phillip Island Penguin Reserve
Penguin Visitor Center

At Phillip Island, which is off the southern coast of Victoria, Little Penguins use the coastal sand dunes for nesting and raising their chicks. At nightfall the penguins return to their burrows from their feeding journeys at sea.

The Phillip Island Nature Park is dedicated to the protection and study of Little Penguins and a visitor center provides the public with information about the birds and their habitat. Over 3,000 people come to the visitors center every day.

Working closely with rangers and research scientists from the Park, Magian designed and produced mechanical interactive exhibits and interactive touchscreen programs for the center.

These multimedia programs explain wildlife issues, the rangers' roles, research activities and the biology and conservation of the Little Penguins. All of the touchscreen programs are accessible in three languages: English, Japanese and Chinese.
