The Science and Life Galleries for the opening of the new Melbourne Museum featured a wide range of complex multimedia programs to communicate broad scientific themes.
The galleries interpret geology, biology and the history of digital technology. The exhibits include the world's oldest surviving digital computer, CSIRAC, which was designed and built in Melbourne, Australia.
A variety of multimedia program formats are used to enhance the exhibit experience and to convey key abstract ideas about scientific issues and digital technology.
The programs covered a diverse range of subjects which imaginatively addressed the exhibit themes. Magian developed the content of the programs ranging from script development to shooting original footage.
Magian designed and produced programs for:
•touchscreens
•videos
•complex multi-screen projections
•soundscapes
